| Muxton School was opened in 1995 to serve the growing residential
area of Muxton. On day one we had 80 children, but since then we have
grown to 350 children. However, we still aim to treat every child in
our school as an individual with different interests, needs and strengths.
We are a successful school because we care about the development of
every individual child and we provide a challenging curriculum in a
very well ordered and disciplined learning environment.
Well, who are we and where are we situated?
The Headteacher is Michael Theobalds and he has been at the school
since it first opened. Previously he worked in Sussex and Wiltshire
and since moving to Telford has been deputy head at Hollinswood Middle
School and headteacher at Holmer Lake School. Michael says that Muxton
School “is almost part of my family! I have been part of it
since before it opened and I am extremely proud of the way in which
it has grown into such a caring, challenging and successful school.”
The deputy head is Miriam Bristoll and she has been at Muxton School
since 1998. Miriam is mum to two young children, Eleanor and Poppy,
but still finds time to plan lots of exciting learning opportunities
for the children so that their time at Muxton School is successful
and fun!
The school administrator is Mo Sherratt who has been at Muxton School
since day one in January 1995. Mo is the welcoming face and voice
of Muxton School and will answer all your questions about us.
